Bonesetter's Daughter

A powerful, riveting story chronicling a daughter, her ahlzeimer striken mother and their struggle to remember the things that should not be forgotten.

This is the second novel of Amy Tan's I've read. I decided I wanted a good book to read over the Spring break holiday from school, when I should have been working on my research papers. This became a daily read for me, every morning when I went to breakfast each day. It became like a close friend telling me her story.

Amy Tan continues to impress me; her writing style is pleasant, her transitions between the current storyline and the Chinese past are seamless. Her writing is comfortable and it wraps itself around you like a comfy blanket.

I think this is Amy Tan's best novel. It's powerful, riveting and had me crying like a baby when I put it down after a week.
