Dead Men Do Tell Tales

"The Strange and Fascinating Tales of a Forensic Anthropologist" - a thoroughly enjoyable book by the late William R. Maples, Ph.D., a forensic anthropologist responsible for the Williams Maples Human Identification Center in Gainesville.

Obviously, when I started looking into my career in Forensic Science, one of the first areas of study I considered was Forensic Anthropology. What could be more fascinating that putting a face and identity to a a small handful of bones?

Having received this book as a Christmas Gift from my Mom (thank you, Mom!), I immediately sat down and began reading it. Dr. Maples has a style of writing that is intriguing, engrossing and actually quite poetic. He makes a rather scientific topic accessible and interesting.
